EOH Network Solutions is the only operator in South African to have established their network using solely Juniper technology and equipment. The network design, which is aimed at simplicity, efficiency and resilience, is based on distributed node architecture in the major metropolitan regions which are connected by Metro E Ring designs.

Providing a focused range of Layer 2 Infrastructure services that outperform industry standards in service and cost is a key driver of the EOH Network Solutions wholesale division.

Network Design

The diagram to the right outlines the existing network design of EOH Network Solutions, based on a Juniper routing and switching environment.

The core of the network is designed around the MX960 Juniper routers, with smaller nodes in smaller regions being supported with the M10i Edge routers.

The Metro E Ring is supported on the core with Juniper EX4200 series switches whilst client terminating units utilise the Juniper EX2200.
