Why Host With EOH Network Solutions and Teraco

99.999% Service level

N+1 at Every Level
Teraco Data Centres are built to the highest specification according to global best practice. Security, fire monitoring and prevention, power supply and cooling distribution are all governed by an N+1 policy: one passive set of components for every active set to ensure resilience.

Service Level Guarantees

Through its investment in N+1 resilient infrastructure, Teraco contracts with clients to provide guaranteed levels of uptime, power and service availability as standard.

Peer at NAP Africa
NAPAfrica is a neutral, layer 2 Internet exchange (IX) point, located in South Africa. NAPAfrica enables the exchange of large volumes of traffic between Network Service Providers (NSPs) via public peering. NSPs include Local and International Carriers, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Application Service Providers (ASPs) and Content Providers, among others. Once connected to NAPAfrica, NSPs negotiate individual and multilateral peering relationships. NAPAfrica peering points are located in Teraco Data Environments data centres in CT1, Rondebosch, Cape Town and JB1, Isando, Johannesburg, South Africa. Instead of costly multiple direct links, a single peering point allows multiple networks to interconnect using a shared switch fabric. This fabric typically takes the form of high end Ethernet switches.

Absolute Focus
Teraco’s sole business goal is the provision of global best practice Data Centre facilities to customers. Teraco environments allow companies to avoid fixed infrastructure investments, and to leave the growing complexity of managing power and environmental issues to the specialists.

Flexibility and Growth
Teraco customers have the flexibility to implement information systems in the way they choose and easily make changes as they are needed, whether scaling systems or changing how they interconnect with any of the major ISPs and carriers within the carrier hotel area. There is plenty of space to grow, and Teraco is already planning the second phases of its Cape Town and Johannesburg Data Centres to ensure that there is always room to expand.

Opportunity to do more
Unrestricted local connections within each Data Centre to potentially complementary organisations, from disaster recovery specialists to storage solutions, means that potential future business partners or service providers are just a patch panel and high capacity local link away.

Why Outsource Your Data Centre
Choosing a Data Centre strategy is a tough call. On top of the business and technical drivers, organisations are looking to reduce their carbon footprint and be more environmentally sound. There is also the ever present need to protect the business against the risk of more load-shedding as South Africa’s power utility struggles to deliver the capacity needed.
